I'm Vanessa V., the breeder behind Desert Oasis Kennels located in Gilbert, AZ. For over 17 years we have been hobby breeders and exhibitors of standard and poodles in parti and solid colors. We select our breeding adults for health, temperament and conformation. We breed as close to the AKC standard as possible and use health testing to try and eliminate possible health concerns.

Why did you start breeding?
I started showing poodles in conformation in 2010, which led to breeding standard poodles in an effort to better the breed.What makes your program special?
Experience, training, and a discriminate and selective eye for the best of the best. Most dogs, should not be bred. We set ourselves apart by choosing only the best of the best dogs for our breeding stock. Perfect health, a calm confident temperament and beautiful conformation are non-negotiable.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Poodle puppies include moyen and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Poodle puppies include apricot, black, brown, cream, white, parti, phantom, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

"All puppies will be sent home freshly groomed with a vet's health record, first shots, de-worming, a baggy of dog food and a blanket with mom's scent. Deposits are non-refundable and will secure your puppy until he or she is ready to go home with you."

Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
