I'm Bonnie B., the breeder behind Desjardin’s Poodles & Dachshunds located in Hamburg, NY. I grew to love Standard Poodles for their unmatchable intelligence, athleticism, and companionship, and Miniature Dachshunds for their can-do attitude and endless love and devotion to their family. I am devoted to breeding top quality and healthy dogs that exceed AKC standards.
Q. & A. with Bonnie
Why did you start breeding?
When I got my first poodle, I saw how beautiful they were, and I wanted to continue the beautiful splendid bred. My parents always had purebred dogs growing up, and I wanted to continue the tradition.
What makes your program special?
I believe in breeding only Standard Poodles and Dachshunds that meet the AKC's breed standards. I breed only the best-looking dogs of the breed and the healthiest, so the dogs will have long happy lives with their families.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Poodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our Dachshund puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Dachshund puppies include red, chocolate, brindle, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Poodle puppies include black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
