I'm Lisa I., the breeder behind Devoted Doxies - DLL located in Chehalis, WA.
Q. & A. with Lisa
Why did you start breeding?
I began breeding over 15 years ago when my mom started breeding English Cream Dachshunds. Through her, I fell in love with the breed. From their fierce loyalty and affectionate nature to their big personalities wrapped in small packages, there’s so much to adore about Dachshunds.
What makes your program special?
My breeding program focuses on AKC-registered Russian Dachshunds, a lineage known for its calm, well-balanced temperament, exceptionally soft coats, and lower-shedding qualities compared to other lines. Russian Dachshunds are often more laid-back and adaptable, making them wonderful companions for families, individuals, and multi-pet homes.
Beyond bloodlines, I prioritize health, temperament, and ethical breeding practices. My dogs are carefully selected for structure, soundness, and personality, and are raised in a loving home environment where they receive early socialization, handling, and exposure to everyday life. This helps ensure confident, well-adjusted puppies who transition smoothly into their forever homes.
I’m deeply committed to preserving the integrity of the breed while producing healthy, happy puppies with both beauty and temperament in mind—not just pets, but lifelong companions.
While your newest family member is in my care, I will send videos and pictures of their developmental milestones and fun interactions, and memories to keep the whole family updated on your fur babies life till they can go to live with their forever families.
