I'm Karen L., the breeder behind Devoted Doxies, Lorraine’s Yorkies located in Belfair, WA. Our dogs are bred and raised in our home to produce well socialized loving puppies. We focus on producing well bred dogs that are free of any preventable genetic disorders and great temperaments. Your puppy comes to you with shots, wormings and a small care package to help get you started.

Why did you start breeding?
I began breeding Yorkshire Terriers more than 10 years ago with a good friend. She and another friend mentored me as I learned along the way. When I met my husband we decided to add Dachshunds to our breeding program and we think it’s been the best decision we ever made.What makes your program special?
Each of our dogs are Embark tested then paired to produce genetically healthy, well tempered dogs. All our dogs live in our home and are loved and adored. Our intent is to produce well bred, healthy, genetically sound, well tempered, loving, well socialized puppies.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Dachshund puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Yorkshire Terrier puppies are black and tan. Dachshund puppies include piebald, red, chocolate, blue and tan, black and tan, fawn (isabella) and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

"Includes AKC litter reg. app. and pedigree, genetic health guarantee, first shots, health exam, and deworming at 4, 6 and 8 weeks before going to their forever home. Deposits go toward the purchase price of the puppy. Deposit is refundable should the puppy not be able to leave the breeder’s home at arranged time of pick up. Otherwise it is non-refundable."

He is kennel and pen trained and working on finishing up potty training. He is playful, gentle with the younger puppies and a real loving affectionate little boy.

Clara is second in my line of Yorkshire Terriers. I owned her mother, Maddie, for many years until her passing last year. Clara is retired now and lives a pampered pet’s life with us as Clara’s daughter, Mia, has assumed the role her mother and grandmother had before her.

Karen was truly a pleasure to work with! She is very passionate and ensures the pups are well taken care of. Although I’ve had dogs my entire life, this was my first time working with a breeder and it was a very easy transition to our home!
