  • Why did you start breeding?

    My journey into Dachshund breeding began with my grandmother, who started breeding in the 1970s. She introduced my mother to the breed, and my mother passed that passion on to me. Breeding Dachshunds has been a family tradition spanning three generations.

  • What makes your program special?

    What makes our program special is the knowledge and experience passed down through three generations. My grandmother is still part of Dewdrop today and continues to share her experience and guidance. That legacy, combined with our dedication to the breed, is at the heart of everything we do.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include wirehaired, smooth, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, chocolate, black and tan, blue and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
