I'm Holly S., the breeder behind Diamond Yorkshire Terriers located in Des Moines, IA. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and genetics. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. Our puppies are raised with love in our home, and we strive to help each one grow up with confidence so they are ready to leave with their new families. They are affectionate, intelligent, and cute as can be!

Why did you start breeding?
My family suffered a tragic loss of a close family member. The process of raising them from birth until the age of 10wks was an amazing experience for us to do together to help us heal. These days the kids are off achieving their dreams, therefor the pups bring me great comfort in the meantime.What makes your program special?
I treat each & every puppy as one of my own, even after they have left for their fur ever homes, always reach out a few times to ensure the new pup has settled into their new surroundings comfortably. And I’m always available for any questions with taking care of the puppy!What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include chocolate, tan and white, parti, black and tan, and black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Holly
Holly has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“The price includes a 1yr health guarantee & 30 days of health insurance from Trupanion. Puppies will be up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations & deworming. Deposits are half the price of the puppy, and are non refundable but they are transferable to a different litter/pup if needed within 2yrs of first deposit.”
Contract & health guarantee
Holly may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Litter update on 31 Jan. •…Almost 8wks old. Just had their first distemper shot. They did so good!! Everyone at the vet adored them! Only a few weeks before they can go to their fur ever home. My experience with Holly was so exciting being my first time as a dog mom! Holly was very helpful with any questions I had. She gets to know all the puppies and she was spot on with my Jayce. She’s an alpha female but, so loving and gives the best kisses!! Holly is also available after being home with your fur baby. She wants to know how things are going and still cares about their well being. My entire process was pleasant with Diamond Yorkshire Terriers & Holly. This past weekend my sister’s 2 dogs from Holly met my Jayce their half sister. It was so amazing, and fun to see them interact, wrestle, and love on each other for the first time! I am so satisfied with the puppy (Rufio) that I got from Holly. He has the best disposition and has been fairly easy to potty train. You can tell he had been worked with! Holly sent a blanket that smelled of his siblings and mom and a toy as well as food. You can tell Holly really cares about her animals as the food she provides them comes from Italy as their food requirements are much more strict than those in the US. Thanks for a great experience Holly!

We got our Bali from Diamond Yorkshire Terriers and we couldn’t be happier! Holly is the absolute BEST! My family and I are first time dog owners, and I had a million questions. Before we took Bali home, Holly gave me advice on the things I could do at home to make Bali’s transition to her new home an easier one. Holly even took the time to share some of the products she uses with her pups, and it helped me to get started by buying some of those same items so that Bali had those things at our house. I had zero clue about vet visits and what to do or ask, Holly helped me with that. Holly gave me advice on pet insurance, which, as a first time pet owner, I didn’t even know existed. Holly is kind, knowledgeable about the breed, patient, so easy to talk to and work with. MyBali was healthy and happy before we got her, and I’m happy to say that with Holly’s support Bali is still happy and healthy at her new forever home with us. We took Bali home January 2024, and I can still reach out and talk to Holly when I have questions or need advice. Getting our Yorkie from Holly was the best choice we could have made. Our dog came to us HEALTHY and LOVED. Holly doesn’t just breed dogs, she does what’s necessary to create a healthy and happy environment for the dogs she breeds. We live in Omaha,Nebraska and drove the almost 3hrs to Iowa to get our puppy from Holly in Iowa and I’d do it again, we just might because my daughter wants another puppy to keep Bali company :) . I’d encourage anyone to support Holly and her business because she truly cares about the dogs she breeds, and goes out of her way to support the owners she sales them to.
