Meet the breeder

I'm Kevin L., the breeder behind Die Nassen Baerte located in Thurmont, MD. We hold ourselves to high standards. All of our puppies are socialized, nurtured, and loved! Our breeding program started with one small litter that turned into a fulfilling, lifelong passion! We believe there’s no greater joy than providing families with loving companions.

Q. & A. with Kevin

  • Why did you start breeding?

As a second generation dog breeder, I grew up raising Basset Hounds and Labrador Retrievers. This taught me the foundation of what I know today.
  • What makes your program special?

Die Nassen Bärte is special because of its focus on preservation. We are also one of the few breeders in the US who will give puppy buyers the option of leaving their Schnauzer puppy undocked.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Standard Schnauzer puppies are black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
