I'm Amber V., the breeder behind Digging Dachshunds located in Denison, TX. We are dedicated to providing healthy and socialized pups. Our goal is to improve the breed which is why all adult dogs have had appropriate health and dna testing. All pups will be socialized, and will come vaccinated, dewormed, examined and cleared by a vet.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    When I got my first dachshund I fell in love and started learning more about them and researched the breed and decided to get into breeding. I love bringing joy to families with the pups we have helped raise for 8+ weeks. I have met so many wonderful people doing this too!

  • What makes your program special?

    I have a very small, in home program so that all dogs and pups receive exceptional care and attention. I only breed healthy pups, which is why I test the adult dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Amber

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,600 - $1,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
