Melissa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Melissa partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“We allow people to voice color/gender preferences but we match our puppy buyers with the pup that best fits their wants/needs - this is done when they’re about 6-7 weeks old. We do allow people to have input on puppy picks. ”

“Microchip, first vaccines + thorough vet exam, Lifetime breeder support, 30 days Trupanion insurance, puppy pack (food, leash, collar, etc. included), AKC/UKC registration, plus more. Deposits will be taken when pups are 3 weeks old, this deposit will cover vet visits, food, and supplies.”
Melissa may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Melissa offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Melissa directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.

About Dixie
Dixie is 73lbs of lean muscle. She’s a beautiful dog with a personality to back it up. She has insane drive and desire to do just about anything you ask of her - We’ve yet to find something she won’t do! Dixie doesn’t have any hunt test titles on her just yet - but, she’s a beast in the field. Quiet on the line, steady, amazing marker. Dixie has excelled at every single sport I have thrown at her - currently she competes in dock diving, fast CAT, and agility. she has done some scent work briefly, as well as tracking & excelled at both of them. Her drive to work is insane, but she has an amazing off switch and is super calm & loving in the house. She’s confident in new environments, we frequently go to many different places with Dixie. She has yet to be bothered by anything and is confident I any situation. She’s down to go do whatever you want to do! She is completely clear on all genetic testing through embark, as well having her eyes, hips, & elbows tested through OFA.

DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
