Meet the breeder

I'm Connie G., the breeder behind Dixie Darlings Pomeranians located in Cullman, AL. We love to responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members. We find so much joy in watching our puppies grow and develop their own unique personalities. We can’t wait for you to meet your next loving and loyal companion!

Q. & A. with Connie

  • Why did you start breeding?

My best friend of 40 years is Angela from Royal Tee Poms. She is my mentor and taught me about breeding. I retired from my job of 35 years at the end of 2024. Showing and raising quality poms is my new profession because I absolutely love my poms and they make me happy!😊❤️
  • What makes your program special?

My breeding program is special because my kennel is always kept immaculate and I spent all my time socializing them, teaching them commands, potty training, training on show leads, as well as how to be a good companion to their new owner. My dogs are vaccinated and vet checked for healthy heart, lungs, bite, ears, eyes, and patellas. I give a heath guarantee with all my puppies.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, orange, cream, white, red sable, black and tan, orange sable, and beaver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Connie was by far the most perfect person you could get a Pomeranian from, it really shows how much she loves and cares for each of her dogs. Connie flew with Sam to Minnesota to bring him to my Grandma and I can’t sing higher praises to how well it all went. Sam was so well mannered, well groomed, trained and ready for snuggles. He was about 1 year old when we got him, and he adjusted really well to his new home. Connie brought his favorite toys and some items for him to go home with, she spent time talking to my Grandma and explaining all the ways she takes care of Sam so that my Grandma could continue. After we left with Sam, Connie checked in with us to make sure everything was good. We’ve actually stayed in touch with her and share photos of Sam and updates on how he’s doing and it’s so great to have a breeder who genuinely, I mean actually genuinely cares about the health and wellbeing of their dogs after they get adopted. If anyone is considering adopting from Connie, you’ll be very happy and you’ll be getting a dog that was bred with the utmost love and care.
