I'm Catherine K., the breeder behind Dixie Pugs of Tn located in Lexington, TN. Our goal is to find families who share the same love and passion that we do for these lovely companions. Our puppies are raised with love in our home. We have high expectations for our puppies and make sure to place each one with an enriching and loving family complementary to their personality and ability!
Q. & A. with Catherine
Why did you start breeding?
After being injured in a car accident, my doctor recommended we get a puppy to help with my depression and feeling useless. I had fallen in love with pugs years earlier, so it seemed like a no brainer. While we were patiently waiting for our baby, we started talking about breeding, so we asked our breeder for her thoughts and recommendations. Now 10 years later, here we are.
What makes your program special?
We breed as a family for families. We try to make the first 10 weeks as interactive as possible using social media. We want our puppy families to feel like they are part of our family. We make a point to talk with everyone so that the pairing of pup and human is a success from the minute they leave our home.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
