DK's Dream Doxies

Diana K.

Breeder of Dachshunds

Meet the breeder

I'm Diana K., the breeder behind DK's Dream Doxies located in Salado, TX. We’re a small, family breeder inspired by Jesse, raising happy, healthy mini dachshunds with love from our first longhair pup. After losing our beloved Jesse, we found joy in our first longhaired miniature dachshund. What began as healing turned into passion. We raise healthy, happy pups in our home with love, socialization, and care, focusing on health, temperament, and lifelong companionship.

Q. & A. with Diana

  • Why did you start breeding?

From the moment we met our new pup, something clicked. Their playful spirit, sweet nature, and loyalty captured our hearts. That one dog quickly became a passion for the breed. As we learned more about mini dachshunds, we realized how special they are and how important it is to raise them the right way: in a loving, family-focused environment where health, temperament, and companionship come first.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised in our home with love, care, and daily interaction from day one. As a small family breeder, we focus on quality over quantity, prioritizing health, temperament, and companionship. Each puppy gets individual attention to grow into a confident, loving pet. Our program is rooted in heart and a commitment to raising happy, healthy companions.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, cream, chocolate and cream, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
