I'm Dana C., the breeder behind DMC Dachshunds located in Fredericksburg, TX. We have 20 plus years experience with raising miniature dachshunds. The loyalty and loving disposition of dachshunds are simply the best! We put a great deal of effort into raising our litters to ensure our puppy families will have the best experience raising their new family members.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My mother raised West Highland White Terriers and I loved having puppies around. When I was a freshman in high school, I was giving a silky black/tan minature dachshund, Sebastian, and I have never looked back. I completely fell in love with the breed, their personality of thinking they are larger than they are, their extreme devotion to their parents (owners), and their comical sense of humor.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red, chocolate, chocolate and tan, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Dana

Dana has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $350 deposit and between $500 - $900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“$850 is for limited AKC registration and $1250 is for full AKC registration. All puppies have two rounds of vaccines, several dewormings, intense socialization with people and adult dachshunds. Deposit is non-refundable if buyer changes their mind, can't pay remaining balance, or does not pick puppy up. Deposit will be refunded if something has happened while the puppy is with me.”

Contract & health guarantee

Dana may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
