Meet the breeder

I'm Julia W., the breeder behind Dockside Australian Shepherds located in Manhattan, KS. Q. & A. with Julia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I fell in love with Australian Shepherds as I was growing up showing beagles in 4-H. The Australian Shepherds were always the most intelligent and brilliant dogs in the room. I decided that as soon as I was able to have an aussie, that I would. My goal is to produce healthy dogs with excellent temperament. I’m passionate about what I do and am dedicated to producing healthy, quality dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

I hold myself to the highest standard when it comes to my dogs and my policies. I am thorough in health testing and caring for my dogs, and I make sure each puppy gets the proper group and individual care that it needs to thrive. My goal is to ensure that every dog that comes from my program is set up to live a happy and healthy life and is prepared for its future role when it leaves my care.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
