I'm Lindsi H., the breeder behind Dogwood Acre Dachshunds located in Texarkana, AR. We’re proud of the healthy, affectionate, and behaviorally well-rounded puppies we raise for other families to love! Our dogs have proven to be the greatest companions to our family. We started breeding to contribute to breed betterment and to share smart and loveable puppies with other families.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our dogs are family, we're not a kennel. All of ours sleep inside each & every night. We hike, camp, boat & swim with them as well! Destin, Fl beach has to be their favorite trip.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, red, black and cream, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Lindsi

Lindsi has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Lindsi partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,100 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“The price includes veterinarian approval, up to date vaccinations, AKC registration & health guarantee. The deposit is Non-refundable. Deposit goes toward the final fee of pup.”

Lindsi may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Lindsi was great at keeping us updated with photos and vet visits of the pups. I appreciate that all the pups grew up in a home setting and wasn’t separated from mom too soon. We met at a public crowded place and our pickup went smoothly. Lindsi was so kind and she also gave us a goodie bag with all the vet and AKC documents, dog food and more. Our Junie has grown to be a rambunctious and silly pup. She’s super cuddly, fearless and energetic, but once 8pm hits, she’s knocked out on the couch waiting for us to go to bed. She loves getting attention from humans and also loves socializing with other dogs. Her legs are longer than the stereotypical dachshund but I do not mind at all because that means lower of a risk for IVDD. We love her so much and look forward to getting her a sibling soon!

    It’s been a steep learning curve having little Poppy in our lives. After a few nights she is (usually) sleeping through the night til 5 am. Watching YouTube training instruction has really paid off and she no longer bites fingers and toes. She is calmer, we can cuddle her without being gnawed on , she can walk on a leash really well and is becoming a solid good citizen in our family. It’s been really hard. Took awhile but worth the work for years of love and fun to come!
