I'm Nate B., the breeder behind Dogwood Blossom Aussies located in Colbert, GA. Our dogs are ASDR registered Australian Shepherds. They are not toy, but they are small miniatures. They will be slightly under 30 pounds and are extremely athletic. Our oldest male is 11 years old and still acts like a puppy. Our pups love being outside and playing in the sunshine, but they also love curling up on the rug to watch TV. They are small enough to be lap dogs, but also work farm animals like a full size.

Miniature Australian Shepherd
About Sadie
Sadie is the sweetest dog I have ever been around. She wants to be loved on always, and loves to have her ears scratched. She loves toys, but is more laid back and calm than other aussies. She loves to go on walks, and especially loves playing on the beach. She can't wait to hop into the car when I ask her if she wants to go.

About Scout
Scout is a velcro dog that has to be with me at all times. He is extremely protective of our kids, and stays between them and visitors he has never met. He will chase a ball for hours on end, and loves to curl up beside you and be petted. He loves going on walks and comes running when he hears his leash.
Good level
Dogwood Blossom Aussies reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Miniature Australian Shepherds.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
