Meet the breeder

I'm Eric L., the breeder behind Doodle Babies located in Statesville, NC. At Doodle Babies, we specialize in raising healthy, well socialized Mini Bernedoodles, Mini Goldendoodles, and Cavapoos in the heart of Statesville, North Carolina. All my parent dogs are genetically tested and puppies all receive a veterinarian wellness exam before leaving to their new homes.

Q. & A. with Eric

  • Why did you start breeding?

When I was younger my mother used to breed Newfoundland's. We love providing families with their fur-ever family member as brings so much love & joy. I started to raise doodles due to allergies and them being allergy friendly. I now only raise doodles that are allergy friendly.
  • What makes your program special?

Well not to sound biased, but I think my girls are what make it special. They all have amazing personalities and are amazing mothers to their puppies. They're also all genetically tested. I ensure all puppies are well socialized by introducing puppies gradually to other dogs, animals, and everyday noises to help them grow more confident and be ready for new homes.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies are mini size. Cavapoo puppies are toy size. Goldendoodle puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Bernedoodle puppies include sable, black, black and white, tri-color, phantom, blue merle, and merle. Cavapoo puppies include red and apricot. Goldendoodle puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, and merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I had a fantastic experience getting my Cavapoo puppy from Eric. He was transparent, communicative, and always quick to answer questions. He kept me updated with photos and videos, and it was clear my puppy was being raised in a caring environment!! Eric also coordinated everything with the flight nanny, which made the pickup process so smooth and stress-free. My puppy arrived healthy, happy, and perfectly socialized. I’m so grateful for how seamless and supportive the entire experience was. Highly recommend working with Eric!

We couldn’t be more pleased with Lulu. She is a lively, sweet and loving puppy, who is learning a lot from her older Havanese brother. Eric did a great job with initial house breaking training. Lulu really lets us know when she needs to go out and she’s quite smart about it. Thank you!!

Eric was very responsive and helpful. He made the transportation of our puppy as simple as possible. We couldn't be more happy with our puppy from Eric. The puppies he breeds are exceptional. We purchased a Cavapoo from him and our absolutely in love with everything about the puppy. He is beautifu in color, smart, healthy, and has the best personality. I would purchase a second from Eric and my husband often jokes that he will as our pup is definitely a momma's boy. If you are considering a doodle baby of any mixture, I highly recommend doodle babies and Eric. You won't regret the decision!
