I’m so incredibly happy and grateful to have been blessed with my fluffy puppy back in June! Crystal, the breeder, was absolutely fantastic from beginning to end. From the moment I inquired, she communicated clearly, answered my questions, and kept me updated every week until I was finally able to bring him home about two months later. When I picked him up, he was clean, well cared for, and came with some of the food he was already eating, which made the transition so much easier. She also gave me a stuffed animal that he had been with since birth so he could still have the scent of his family with him. I thought that was such a thoughtful and amazing touch. 🥹 Today marks about two months since Jupiter and I have been together, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better puppy. His temperament is extremely relaxed, he’s incredibly friendly, and he learns SO quickly. Of course, I expected him to be intelligent because he’s a Poodle/Old English Sheepdog mix, but you never truly know what temperament you’re going to get. For me, this was a HUGE decision. I had never had a pet in my life, and as someone approaching 30, I knew I wanted to make sure I was bringing a dog into my home that fit my lifestyle and that I could properly care for and love. I wasn’t someone who thought, “I’ll just get any dog and adapt.” I had a very specific idea of the temperament and personality I wanted because I wanted to make sure I could be the best dog dad possible. I had prayed for YEARS for the kind of dog I wanted. Years ago, I came across a Sheepadoodle and immediately knew that was the type of dog I wanted someday. I can honestly say my prayers were answered. I named my pup Jupiter, and he is SO loved—not only by me, but by everyone who meets him. He has already become a neighborhood favorite and is loved everywhere we go, especially at the parks. And his coat?! AMAZING! I absolutely love his colors. When I first got him, he was primarily white, black, and two shades of gray. Now he’s starting to develop some beautiful brown coloring around his face and head, and I’m loving watching him change as he grows. Jupiter is also a standard-size Sheepadoodle, with a Standard Poodle mom and a Standard Sheepadoodle dad. Watching him grow has been one of my favorite parts because I specifically wanted a standard Sheepadoodle—I wanted a BIG dog! Every time I meet another dog parent and they find out he’s only four months old, they gasp at how big he already is and say, “HE’S GOING TO BE HUGE!” And honestly, hearing that makes me so happy every single time! 😂 I can’t wait to see just how big my boy gets! His first grooming appointment is this weekend, and I’m SO excited… but also a little nervous! Crystal, thank you for taking such great care of Jupiter before he came into my life and for making the entire process such a wonderful experience. I truly feel like I received exactly the puppy I had been praying for. Jupiter is an amazing little guy, and I’m beyond grateful that he’s mine. 10/10 would recommend Crystal from Doodle-Cove to anyone looking for a Sheepadoodle or Poodle!
