I'm Heather B., the breeder behind Dos Lobos Ranch, LLC located in Decatur, TX. We established our ranch in January 2023 raising beef, pork, chicken, and eggs for the DFW area. We started out with a rescued Aussie and he showed us that a good working dog is a critical member of a ranch. When we added more cattle, we quickly realized that one dog isn't enough. So we added!

Australian Shepherd
About Kazi
Kazi is our goofball. Very aloof, independent, but when it comes to stock, breaking her concentration takes effort! Biddable, sweet, and our "cutting horse" style girl for stock. She loves to track stock back and forth until they break into another direction. She loves to work the perimeter and prefers not to use her bite on stock and when she does bite, it's so gentle, the stock doesn't usually react. She's also our "Hog's Bane" and is our secret weapon for dealing with stubborn hogs. She stays on them until they comply out of sheer annoyance. There are times when she seems to "not get it" and then a few moments later will show us a stroke of creative genius that she wasn't told or even trained to do with the stock to get them to do what they need to do. We've learned to just trust her and let her do her independent thinking. She has yet to disappoint us!

About Shiney
Shiney is our all work and no play kind of girl. She does play plenty, but man does she love to work! She has an unusually calm demeanor for an Australian Shepherd and will patiently wait for work to start and takes a cue from us when we start out for a task. She observes first and is extremely biddable, something that we noticed very early on when she was still a young pup. She also has unmatched tenacity. She has never been intimidated or needed confidence boosting with any task or stock. She just jumps right in and gets to work. She prefers to use her bite and use it often. She is our "Goat Buster" and isn't intimidated by ornery goats one bit! With cattle, she's much more keen on staying close to us and waiting for our commands compared to her sister Kazi who prefers to stay on the perimeter and work in a circle around the herd. She is by far showing to be our best dog of our three Aussies and will be a very valuable contributor to our breeding program!
