Meet the breeder

I'm Heather D., the breeder behind Double H Australian Shepherds located in Fallon, NV. We fell in love with the breed because of their intelligence and personality. There’s hardly a better feeling than being able to share them with other families that will love them the way that we do!

Q. & A. with Heather

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always loved the Australian Shepherd breed and wanted one from a young age. While I was studying in my veterinary internship in North Dakota I had the opportunity to take home my first Australian Shepherd. I always knew I wanted to have more and started learning about breeding, health and genetics. It quickly became a passion for me
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are each treated as family, they live great spoiled lives running and playing on the ranch each day. We are special because of how much mind we pay to each and every dog we own including puppies born here. Our puppies are always socialized very well and exposed to new life experiences
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, red, and sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
