I'm Taylor R., the breeder behind Double R Danes located in Wappapello, MO. At Double R Danes, we are dedicated to offering quality puppies with amazing temperament, conformation, and health above all! Our dogs are bred with the intent to better the breed and prolong their lives and quality of living. We do OFA health testing on all of our dogs and we have a small program that is home-based.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We have always been invested in the well-being of animals, and we love Great Danes dearly. We decided to start our own breeding program so that we could share with others the joyful experience of owning these incredible dogs!
  • What makes your program special?

    We care deeply about our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to ensure they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include fawn and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Taylor

Taylor has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This includes AKC limited registration. All pups are raised using puppy culture. They come with a 2-year health guarantee, a large puppy pack, and started on potty and crate training! All of our puppies are the same price and include a microchip. The deposit is non-refundable.”

Contract & health guarantee

Taylor may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
