I'm Julie D., the breeder behind Double R Farm Aussies located in Denton, NC. We are a small hobby farm located outside of Asheboro, NC and have been raising Aussies since 2013 when we fell in love with the breed after adopting our first Aussie rescue! Our dogs are bred for health and temperament with a focus on conformation, athleticism and intelligence. We are dedicated to providing our families with wonderful, healthy family pets.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We rescued our first Aussie in 2010 and fell in love with the breed after adopting!

  • What makes your program special?

    We are a small hobby farm who takes great pride in caring for our animals here on the farm. Our puppies are born and raised in the house with us until they are weaned and then moved outside to our indoor/outdoor kennel. They are handled and played with daily. We make lifelong commitments to our pets, when retired from our breeding program, our adult babies remain here with us to enjoy the rest of their lives here on the farm as they like. We are by no means experts and are learning new things about the breed daily. We love to keep in contact with our past puppies and follow them as they grow!

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Julie

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Julie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $700 - $1,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Julie is undoubtedly the best breeder my spouse and I have ever worked with. She was extremely polite, personable and went above and beyond. She was kind enough to hold on to our puppy for a few weeks as we planned the drive down. In this time she sent numerous pictures of our puppy , gave weekly updates, as-well even took our pup on drives to get her accustomed to the long drive home. She did everything possible to make everything perfect in welcoming our little pup to our family. It is very apparent how much they love and care for the litter. when we went to pick up our little girl she was given a little gift baggy including her mother’s scent on a blanket. It’s been 3 weeks now and our happy little girl has become the perfect addition to our Family. We would recommend “Double R Farm Aussies” to anyone looking to adopt a healthy, happy puppy!

    Julie was great to work with from the initial quick response and breed information and updates along the way. Pickup meet was arranged and the puppy was groomed and ready to go with a swag bag of food, toys, blanket, collar and leash. We’ve had him for a little over a week now and he is the smartest puppy I’ve seen. He was house trained in just a few days and already understands several commands. First time using gooddog.com and it was pretty easy.

    Julie was awesome to work with! She was very responsive and accommodating with my frequent requests for photos, Julie helped guide me to Hershey to be the best fit for our needs. Most importantly, Hershey is healthy , smart and confident , and her sassy personality is needed to keep up with her pack. We have had her for only a week, and she sits and gives her paw for treats, goes up and down stairs, and is starting to let us know when she needs to go potty.
