I'm Curtis and Colleen S., the breeder behind Double4farms located in Ashford, AL. Our puppies become integral members of our family while building confidence with us as they prepare for transition to their forever homes. They’re a daily part of everything we do using the Puppy Culture, (ENS) and receive (ESI) Early Scent Introduction daily for first from 3 to 16 days of life. They will continue with Puppy Culture until they’re ready to join their forever families. All of our adult dogs live in the house with us and live their best lives on a small five acre homestead where they coexist with barn cats, Nigerian Dwarf goats, and a large flock of free range chickens that produce farm fresh eggs. Our Border Collies all have a mix of excellent traits that give us the ability to find them a wide range of homes and environments they can thrive in.

Curtis and Colleen has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Curtis and Colleen partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“How Puppy Selection Works; at Double 4 Farms, we use a waitlist-based selection process to ensure each puppy is matched with the right home. Once your application is approved, you are placed on our active litter waiting list. Families select puppies in order of approval, not based on website availability. After puppies are born, we stay in close contact with families at the top of the list regarding genders, personalities, and overall development. Around 4–6 weeks of age, when temperaments become more clear, families are invited (in order) to choose their puppy and place a reservation deposit. We do allow the those at the top of the list to reserve early if they are sure of the puppy they want before 4-6 weeks. We do not encourage it, but we do allow it if there is no doubt to the puppy they want. For instance, if there is only 1 male in a litter and the 1st person on the list knows beyond a doubt they want a male from that particular litter, there is no point in leaving the puppy available. Once reserved, you’ll receive regular updates, photos, and progress reports until your puppy goes home. Understanding “Available” Puppies designation; Puppies marked as “available” on Good Dog may already be spoken for by families ahead of you on the waitlist and are not reserved or removed until a deposit is placed. A particular puppy showing as available can be selected by others before your turn comes up. Because of this, we encourage families to remain open to multiple puppies within a litter rather than focusing on one specific puppy.”

“Price includes registration, first round of shots, deworming. and a vet health checkup. All puppies also go home with a sample of their food, a blanket with mom's scent, a toy, and vet records. Deposits on all puppies are $400.00 regardless of puppy price and the deposit is applied to the total cost of the puppy. After a deposit is made, that puppy's availability is removed from the public and after a week becomes non-refundable for any reason.”
Curtis and Colleen may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Curtis and Colleen offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Curtis and Colleen directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.

Mobility and vision have arrived! Tomorrow they will be officially two weeks old. Though it will be another week or two before they can see anything but blurry shapes, everyone's eyes are now open and adjusting to the light. Tummies are off the ground and they are getting better at waddling by the day. Exciting and fun times ahead!

Mojo and Luna's litter

Time for our first litter update of 2026! Luna has really outdid herself with this gorgeous fluff-patch. They are super active and mobile already on day 4, and start ENS and ESI tonight. Luna is doing fantastic and the perfect momma in every aspect, as she always is. We will do another update next week when those eyes and ears start to open!

5 week update- It was an introduction and acclimation to the outside world week. The puppies hit the ground running and explored the slide, ball pit and learned to put their feet in the water pan to cool off! And as expected they quickly learned to dig and splash in the water 😂. It didn't take them long to explore all their options! They will spend a little more outside time each week as we give them more options and they start to meet the goats, chickens, and cats as well as learn to run and play with our border pack and explore the pond!

It's week 4 update time! We have 1 puppy still available from this litter and possibly one at a later date. They are settled into their bigger apartment area and have plenty of room to run and they are using every inch of it! Chasing balls and playing tug of war with each other. They are all now consistently using their puppy pads for stage one of potty training and they have started eating mush food and love it!

Week 3 update! It's full speed ahead time in puppy evolution. They are wrestling and running, climbing and barking and testing their tiny border Collie limits. They have been exposed daily to different surfaces, sounds and toys and their little startle responses have been pushed to build bounce back recovery. They are almost ready to move from a whelping box to a whelping apartment! We still have two gold and white males available. One look at their Sire and that will give you an idea of what their potential is!

Border Collie
About Mojo
**Smooth Like Butter** is almost 3 years old and absolutely lives up to his name. He moves gracefully and has excellent ball and frisbee drive and focus. He has a sharp intellect and you only have to teach him something once or twice for him to learn it. His uncle, Tribute "Smart As" , competed with the US national agility team and his sire is a competitive dock diver. He absolutely loves water and will happily dock-dive and fetch from water on command. He has a medium-high drive and is an absolute sweetheart. He is excellent with livestock, and loves working with our goats and doing farm tasks, and is more than capable of putting a spirted buck in his place. He is the perfect combination of our Dames, Luna and River. Mojo's puppies tend to have an nice off switch combined with a desire to please. AKC & ABCA registered (puppies will only be AKC registered) 100% clear of all inheritable genetic diseases through Embark DNA test.

About River
**Wild River Runs (River)** 5 years old AKC and ABCA Registered -(puppies only AKC limited registration) She is your classic black and white with strong up ears. She has everything you want in a high drive agility dog with deep herding stock roots and she exhibits strong herding drive and collie eye. She is a brilliant collie who learns everything quickly and takes every job she is given seriously. She has excellent focus and reads your eyes and body language well for a young dog. She is quick and athletic and catches frisbees with grace and precision that never stops amazing me. she has an independent nature and is not an overly needy - lovey dog during the day, but at night she loves nothing more than to curl up in the bed between her two favorite people and chill. She is on the smaller side for a Border Collie at 34 pounds, but has the tenacity of a dog twice her size. She will load up in a kayak and ride, but has a natural dislike for water. She will retrieve from water but does it under protest and there is nothing she hates worse than a bath! Her uncle, Sagehill's Graphite, is a multiple World Dog Team member and agility champion. (River carries a passive CEA gene) she is clear on all other inheritable genetic diseases through Embark DNA testing.

From my very first inquiry, their communication was prompt, detailed and reassuring. They truly prioritize the well-being od their dogs. Their website is well-maintained and helped me get better insight into their breeding program. Once the litter arrived, the updates were consistent. They do a great job of giving these dogs a great start to life and early development. Very happy with my new puppy.

I couldn’t be happier with my Border Collie puppy, Mollye, from Colleen and Curtis! She’s smart, sweet, and full of personality — clearly raised with love and care. Colleen and Curtis were wonderful throughout the entire process, and it’s obvious they’re passionate about what they do. I’m so grateful to have found them!

Rowan is everything I hoped for and just as Curtis and Colleen described. He is a devoted partner, incredibly expressive and intelligent, and easily trained. He loves agility and is always ready to go but can easily turn it off when done. I highly recommend Double4farms if you are looking to add a Boarder Collie to your family. They are very knowledgeable of the breed and are always there to answer questions.
