I'm Linda B., the breeder behind Down South Mavericks Dachshunds located in Seminary, MS. We are huge animal lovers and have a special place in our hearts for our dogs. We want to provide top-quality beloved companions. Our dogs are our passion, and we can't imagine spending our lives without them. We are dedicated to achieving excellence and healthy family pets, and we love to raise puppies and prepare them for their forever homes.

Linda has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price is determined based on the litter, coat length, and color of the respective puppy. Price is also contingent on limited or full AKC registration. Deposits are non refundable unless the potential buyer experiences a significant life change event and is at the descretion of the seller.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. PRA, Cone-Rod Dystrophy 1 (PRA-crd1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Let me just begin with how wonderful my experience was with Linda. She offered to accommodate however necessary with getting my puppy, as well as insisted on following up with her as time goes on to check on my puppy’s progress, how we are both doing, and to reach out with any questions. Since having her for a week she has already reached out to see how everything has gone for me through this experience. She made everything stress free, and only made the excitement of her arrival the thoughts going through my mind. Absolutely wonderful. My puppy has adapted insanely quick, has crate & potty trained (outside) in one week, and provided so much joy in my life. The smartest dog I have yet to have and is the most loving to new people she meets. Thank you Linda, and I am already considering her a partner in the nearer future…
