I'm Linda B., the breeder behind Down South Mavericks Dachshunds located in Seminary, MS. We are huge animal lovers and have a special place in our hearts for our dogs. We want to provide top-quality beloved companions. Our dogs are our passion, and we can't imagine spending our lives without them. We are dedicated to achieving excellence and healthy family pets, and we love to raise puppies and prepare them for their forever homes.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Linda partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Price is determined based on the litter, coat length, and color of the respective puppy. Price is also contingent on limited or full AKC registration. Deposits are non refundable unless the potential buyer experiences a significant life change event and is at the descretion of the seller.”

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

From the beginning to the day (and days after my Dukie came home) Linda has always been responsive and helpful with my questions and concerns. She would send weekly pupdate pics and it was amazing to see him grow! Duke is an amazing pup so far, he is mostly potty pad trained already, behaves so well and is super calm even with the new adjustment to his home. We can see how much love and care was given to him and couldn’t be any happier. He had his first vet visit today and did not cry one bit during a shot and a nasal bordetella dose. He’s such a good boy! I’m so glad we came across Linda and her pups!

From the very beginning Linda has been amazing. As a first time dachshund owner I didn’t know where to start or who to trust but as soon as me and Linda first started talking I couldn’t help but feel a sense of security. Not only did she answer every question I had(which was more to count) but she never once made me feel less of myself for asking. She always replied on time while keeping me up to date without having to ever worry. When it came time to retrieve our puppy her and her family were extremely welcoming. They explained everything before I could ask which just made me respect them so much more for the amazing breeders me and my girlfriend believed them to be. Down south Mavericks couldn’t be anymore god sent.

The BEST experience ever! Linda is so sweet and her babies are even sweeter. She was so knowledgeable and helpful about our Poppy. She sent videos and pictures to keep me updated. She was very accommodating when planning our pick up. I was nervous about getting a new puppy at first. After getting Poppy, I wish we would have gotten 2! She is the sweetest and happiest little puppy. She transitioned so well. Never cries, eats good, and sleeps through the night. I couldn’t imagine a better puppy or experience. The only problem we have is that we are all fighting over time with her… should have gotten all her siblings too! This made our Christmas SO special! Can’t wait to do this again one day with Linda and Down South Mavericks 💕
