I'm Cheryl M., the breeder behind Doxie Do's located in Mt. Sterling, IL. Our dogs are bred with a focus on health and temperament. They are all our pets and part of our family. They will never let us down, and love us always. Each of our dogs have their own personality that adds to our lives.
Q. & A. with Cheryl
Why did you start breeding?
On the farm we always had baby animals, and who doesn't love babies. My dad got into breeding dogs after he retired. I had a sister that also bred and raised dogs for more than twenty five years. I would go for the weekend to help her with the dogs and give her relief when she needed time away. Also gave up my vacation time to care for her dogs, so she could go. After a number of years I decided to have a few Dachshunds to breed at my home. My sister passed soon after being diagnosed with lung cancer. That woke me up to that time was short so I'd better do what I love most while I can. I quit my job to dedicate all of my time possible to my dogs.
What makes your program special?
My dogs are my life, they bring me such love and joy. I hope to give to others through my dogs as much of that love and joy as possible. My dog's adopted families become a part of my family, keeping in touch with updates, shared stories, support and brag photos. The dogs and I will do our best for them.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Cheryl was very responsive and easy to work with. She sent videos and photos every few days, which was so appreciated as we waited for our girl. Puppy was sent home with a welcome package containing treats, food, starter leash and collar, a blanket, and potty training bells. Our pup is in great health, as this breeder keeps a clean environment and puts love and care into each puppy. We highly recommend Dixie Do’s!
