I'm Roger F., the breeder behind Doxies of Olympus located in Alabaster, AL. Our puppies are raised with love in our home, and we strive to help each one grow up with confidence so they are ready to thrive with their new families. They are affectionate, intelligent, and cute as can be!
Q. & A. with Roger
Why did you start breeding?
We have had dachshunds for over twenty-five years. Working in veterinary medicine, I always had a desire to breed but never had the home or yard. After having kids, we felt it was time to embrace our love for the breed and start our breeding line.
What makes your program special?
With our knowledge and experience both with the breed and veterinary medicine, we produce health and above breed standards.
All of our babies sleep with us! We kennel train all puppies and start potty training at 4 weeks, so when they go home, they are ready.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth, wirehaired, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, red, chocolate, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
