Why did you start breeding?
I’ve always had a deep love for dogs—four-legged companions have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As I approach retirement, I’ve found more time to dedicate to caring for these wonderful animals who are not just pets, but cherished members of the family. This new chapter allows me to share that joy by helping bring loving, well-raised puppies into the lives of other families.What makes your program special?
At Dragonfly Doxies, each of our adult dogs undergoes Embark genetic testing and will receive OFA health clearances at the appropriate ages. Our dogs are truly part of the family—they live in our home, enjoy daily interaction with our grandchildren, and are raised with plenty of outdoor playtime, a nutritious diet, and an abundance of love and attention.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
