Kayce has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Kayce partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“Potential buyers reach out with a preference for puppy, and I complete a series of questions about their interests, knowledge, and suitability for one of my pups, and then I match them to either their pup of choice, or offer another pup if the pup of choice is no longer available. ”

“The pricing listed for each pup is for AKC Limited Registration, commonly referred to as “Pet Only” registration. If you plan to breed or show your puppy, please indicate that in our discussions for the updated pricing of AKC Full Rights Registration. The privilege of purchasing full rights is given with discretion, to select owners. Pricing increase will apply. Deposits protect my investment in the neonatal and early health of your new puppy, and ensure me that you are serious about and have budgeted sufficiently for your new pet. I currently have three deposit types: The first is straightforward-It is the Puppy Deposit. If you have found my page as part of your search and this is our first interaction on this puppy search, and if you come across the puppy you want and it is currently displayed and available on my page now in real time - you place the deposit on the specific pup, the “Puppy Deposit” which is the full $650 puppy deposit. There’s also two other types that match with your general purpose or circumstances. The Floating Deposit -and the Litter Deposit A floating deposit is when you want to secure a potential puppy in the future, but you are waiting for a certain litter or pairing, and you would like to float your deposit until this set of specifics are met for you. A floating deposit is $300 and allows you to be notified for all expected litters, and given the chance to transfer your floating deposit into a Litter Deposit, which is the next deposit type. You then pay 150$ to confirm your spot in the Litter and this spot also determines your place in line to choose your puppy from all born and available puppies. More on that deposit type below 👇 The Litter Deposit is when you have already identified the litter you would like to reserve a spot on, and that litter is planned and expected. This type of deposit also determines the order of puppy pick from all born and available puppies in your selected litter. If you placed a litter deposit after another family for a certain litter, then you are second in line to pick from those available puppies. Litter Deposits are $450. Once you select your puppy from the litter, you pay the remaining balance of the Puppy Deposit which is in your case, now, only $200. $650-$450=$200.00 Each deposit type paid is deducted from the total amount or the Puppy Deposit of $650, which is then deducted from the total balance of the puppy. Example: puppy is 2650, deposit is 650, You first pay the 650 via any portion of the method and circumstances described above, then you pay the remaining 2000 at or before puppy pick up, or puppy transport. NOTE- No matter where you enter into this deposit process, the full deposit amount is 650, and is always deducted from the total puppy balance. So, none are better or worse, rather, one method may align with your puppy search better than others, but rest assured all methods of deposit are on this same path together journeying toward puppy pick up day and your newest best friend! Let me know if you have questions!!”

We wanted to show off our newest addition to the DRAKEFIRE team! This baby is the brother to Warner, from the Zues and Rheanyse Litter. He will be staying with us for now, as we watch him grow into a prospect for being a future stud for us :) As of now, he sure is shaping up to be a wonderful little boy 🥰 We couldn’t be more proud of him. If you like what you see here with this baby, go check out his brother Warner, located on our main page! DRAKEFIRE in South Georgia. Warner is such a good boy, and he is has only just been posted for public consideration. Also, keep a lookout for new litters on their way soon later this month, from the same father of this baby, Zues! There will be more like this to choose from in the coming days, so watch closely! We are accepting a couple of deposits to secure a place in those upcoming litters. Reach out today about Warner, ready now, or future pups similar :) 🥰 talk soon !

All of the girls in the DRAKEFIRE program came into season with just days of each other this week! The in season dams include : Tink, Torrhyn, and Beala! As you can imagine- this is going to be a BUSY season for us here at DRAKEFIRE, with lots of opportunities to apply to be one of our newest family members! All dams will be paired with an in house stud this season, so be sure to check out all of the studs we have as well to see what we might be up to pairing wise. Is anyone willing to make a few guesses on pairings ? 😆 We will release all the info very soon so that you can see which ones you are most interested in. We really look forward to hearing from you :) ! Happy tails and trails- From DRAKEFIRE

Little Meecie is getting SO CLOSE! We are currently on “puppy watch” for the arrival of this litter. Some classic signs that we’ve seen that labor is near, include: nesting ! Lots and lots of nesting in the bed with me or on the couch, basically wherever she is that there’s covers or comfort, she’s digging and making her “nest”. Increased “neediness” She is displaying more and more needy type behaviors that are communicating “mom, I just want to be close right now”. This can include snuggling closer at bedtime, shadowing me around the house, and lots of eye contact 😂. Changes in Food intake This one is different for each mother, so to explain hers might confuse others attempting to learn signs of labor with thier own dogs, but basically just know you are looking for a change in her relationship with food. Some eat more, some eat less, and others not at all be closer it is time. Some do a combination of all the above. But the key is- the food relationship has changed. Increased restlessness This is when momma girl just can’t seem to find her perfect way to lay, so she rustles around a bit more. And others too! This is just a snippet of all the things you can look out for, and only some of the ones this momma girl is doing to let us know that she is gonna be blessing us with new arrivals soon! 🥰 We can’t wait to let you all know when they get here! Talk soon ! 🥰

We are now approx 16 days out from the birthdate of this litter! With each day that passes, Torrhyn becomes a little more needy and emotionally attached to me. This actually begins long before she’s actually “showing” physical signs of being pregnant, like around day 15 ish. That’s how I always know well in advance that the mating has been successful with this girl. 🥰 The initial behavior confirmation occurs and then plateaus for the first month and a half, and then markedly increases again as she nears her due date. Her increased affection and proximity prompting me to begin to imagine the upcoming litter, and wonder what variety of little buns she will bake up for us. 🥰 STAY TUNED !!!

These babies are growing every single day! They have healthy appetites, and move around a whole bunch following the “milk bar” of Momma Tinks on demand breakfast lunch and dinner diner :) I love this stage when they are so tiny and innocent, but I cannot wait for there to be some eyes cracking open, and some walking and running around! The first three weeks are the easiest and most laid back of all the weeks in the origin home. Round about that fourth week, the work seems to triple, but the reward does as well, as you really begin to see those beautiful little personalities shining through.

Kayce C.
Mother dog Tink just discovered her “Big Brother” (motion activated camera) above her kennel den. 😆 She isn’t sure about what kind of noises it is making, and even less sure about how it seems to be moving around! You can bet if those puppers were not nursing, she’d be taking a closer look at that thing.

The little angels have arrived!! Five puppies: three girls and two boys. Cream and Fawn and Cream dapples. Most all will be available for adoption but the three females need a little more evaluation before I decide which one is being retained for the program here at DrakeFire Dachshunds

Kayce C.
Mother dog Tink has faired excellent through her pregnancy and is getting close to her date of whelping. I can gauge this by observing that her belly has drooped lower into a more “hanging” position vs the previous look of her belly was close to body on the underside and outward protruding on each side. When looking downward at her from above, you can now see her waistline is more pronounced since her belly is drooping toward the floor. When she is laying beside me on the couch, I can feel the babies moving under her skin against my leg. If I place my hand gently on her tummy, I can feel them rolling and kicking just below my hand. It’s a magical time for us here at DrakeFire Dachshunds, with a similar vibe as to Christmas Morning 🎁 🐾 😇 Will update soon!

About Torrhyn
Torrhyn is an outgoing, adventure-seeking longhaired miniature Dachshund with a sharp, alert nature and a heart of gold. She’s always ready for the next outing—whether she’s hunting lizards, riding the ATV with mom, or showing off her enthusiasm during a game of fetch. Torrhyn has a natural gift with puppies and is wonderfully patient and nurturing, even with those that aren’t her own. True to her Dachshund instincts, she’ll sound the alarm with a confident bark, but it doesn’t take long before she’s rolling over for belly rubs from anyone—kids, friends, or new faces alike. Easygoing with other dogs and full of personality, Torrhyn is especially known for her signature “bark chew,” a hilarious little “nom nom nom” at the end of her bark that never fails to make people smile.

We could not recommend Kayce enough! As first-time puppy owners, we had so many questions and uncertainties, and Kayce has been absolutely incredible throughout the entire process. She is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and always takes the time to answer every question in a detailed and thoughtful way. Her thorough responses gave us so much confidence and made us feel completely supported every step of the way. One of the things we appreciated most was how communicative she was. We received weekly updates (and even more when we asked!), with pictures and information about our puppy’s progress. It was clear from the very beginning just how much Kayce truly loves and cares for her dachshunds. Bringing our little girl home has only reinforced that feeling. She is such a sweet, loving, and well-adjusted puppy, and it’s obvious that she was raised with so much love, attention, and care. Kayce also sent us home with everything we needed to get started, including all of the paperwork and information needed for our first vet visit, as well as helpful starter supplies. She will also stay around post pick up to check in on us and follow up, which I love! Lastly, I really loved how passionate Kayce is about the process. It wasn’t us just talking to her to see if we wanted the dog, but also her making her own judgment on us based on her expertise on choosing the right owner for her pups! So I knew that she really cared about the futures of her puppies. If you’re looking for a breeder who genuinely cares about both her puppies and the families they go to, Kayce is amazing. We are so grateful to have found her and would recommend her without hesitation! Thank you Kayce for giving us the most perfect addition to our family!!!

First off, we LOVE our new baby girl Olive Rose (middle name is the same as her mama Sansa Rose). In our home, already filled with love and laughter, we didn’t think it could get better…WRONG!! She has brought a whole new level of love, silliness and stories to tell; and we’ve only had her for 6 days. 😁. Since day one, when I first reached out the Kayce, she was responsive and answered ALL of my questions (and believe me I had a LOT of questions). She not only answered my questions but gave us a glimpse into her knowledge of Dachshunds and her love for them. As first time Dachshund owners, we wanted to make sure we were prepared and armed with all the knowledge, and tools, to give Olive the most amazing life. With Kayce’s guidance we felt as prepared as we could be when we picked her up. We know there will be the “challenges “ of having a new baby in the house, but I promise you the information Kayce has given us has us feeling pretty confident; and knowing if we have any more questions, Kayce will be there to help. The icing on the cake for us was on Olives “ComingHome Day” when we met her papa, Renley (Olive looks JUST LIKE HIM!!!) Renley LOVES Kayce, and it was obvious she loves him back and always spoke highly of him and Sansa. That interaction let us know she was raising our baby girl with love. Renley literally jumped into Kayce’s arms to get snuggles. It was an amazing experience and we are so happy we chose Olive and DrakeFire Dachshunds. Thank you Kayce! We appreciate you and all the help and support you have provided to us and for raising Olive with love and care. Thanks Again, Your New Puppy Framily, Carmela, Marc and baby girl Olive Rose

Kayce was far and away the most involved, responsive, and trustworthy breeder we encountered. My favorite part about her is that she interviewed us just as much as we interviewed her. That reassured is that her pups and their parents are so well cared for. Kayce also hung with us as we gave her a bit of a rollercoaster on our decision. Couldn't be happier with the experience!

Kayce was very knowledgeable about dachshunds, and you can tell she cares about each dog individually. She was very responsive throughout the process and provided many tips on treats, toys, food, and training. I adopted a puppy in May 2026 from Sansa and Renley’s litter.
