I'm Karen W., the breeder behind Dreams Come True located in S Chesterfield, VA. We plan one Border Collie litter so we can keep a puppy. Good temperament, correct conformation and health are our main concern. The litter will come from health tested proven lines. These will be working lines which mean the puppies will need a job. That means you need to be an active owner willing to provide outlets for the pups. Dog sports, hiking letting the puppy be part of your family.

Why did you start breeding?
I bred GSD years ago. I am planning on keeping a pup. I like the health and temperament of my girls. Taken time to find a nice studs that complement them.What makes your program special?

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
