I'm Bethany P., the breeder behind Du Poilu located in Riverside, CA. Our breeding program focuses on health and temperament. Sweetness is the Hallmark of the breed. Our dogs have OFA hips, elbows, advanced cardiac, and are Cystinuria clear/non carriers. We are members of the Newfoundland Club of America and the Newfoundland Club of Southern California. In addition to being excellent family companions, our dogs are therapy dogs and love swimming. Our dogs are truly gentle giants and especially love children.

Malko is a very social, environmentally confident dog who is high drive yet easy to live with. Pikachu is an all around great dog. She is titled in French ring sport and has earned his level 2 title. She is also titled in dock diving and is an AKC Canine Good Citizen. Pikachu is social with people and all other animals. She has siblings titled in French ring sport, certified in Search and rescue, and dogs competing at high level obedience. She is an all around dog that is up to do everything without being spun up and high strung. She has a nice off switch and is easy to live with when not training. Eleanor has our ideal temperament. She is as sweet as can be. Eleanor has never met a stranger and LOVES children. She’s a confident dog you can take anywhere. She has a lovely mellow energy while maintaining a playful side. She loves carrying around her stuffed animals and loves swimming. Eleanor has her AKC Canine Good Citizen certification and is titled in Dock Diving. In conformation Eleanor has her UKC Championship and her IABCA International Championship.

Dyson is a true gentle giant. We imported Dyson from France and he brings new genetics to the US. Dyson turns heads everywhere he goes and has never met a stranger. Dysons is a certified therapy dog and has starred in a Mercury Insurance commercial. Dyson is laid back and mellow.
