I'm Elizabeth N., the breeder behind Duchess Daphne's Doxie Empire located in Austin, TX. We are a small, family-based breeding program focused on quality over quantity. Our dogs are first and foremost our beloved pets (fur babies, really) raised inside our family home as part of our daily life, so every puppy receives hands-on attention, early socialization, and intentional enrichment from day one. We intentionally keep our program small: 1-3 litters/year, so we can give each dog and puppy the level of care and attention they deserve. Our goal is simple: to raise exceptional dogs that transition seamlessly into their forever homes. We thoughtfully plan each litter with a focus on health, structure, and temperament, producing Mini Dachshunds that are not only beautiful, but stable, confident, and well-adjusted companions. This allows me to have a personal relationship and know each puppy individually, so that I can match them with their future families that will be the best fit. Our puppies are exposed to everyday household life, textures, sounds, and human interaction early on to build confidence and adaptability. We believe this foundation matters just as much as genetics. We prioritize and encourage lifelong relationships with our puppy families.

Elizabeth has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
“In addition to Good Dog’s application, we require all prospective families to complete our own application and schedule a FaceTime/video call with us. This allows us to get to know you, answer questions, and ensure the right fit for both the puppy and your lifestyle. Puppies are placed thoughtfully based on temperament, structure, and household compatibility, not on a simple first-come, first-served basis. Our goal is to make lasting, successful matches and set each puppy up to thrive in their new home.”

“Puppies will have early life socialization, basic potty training, 4x dewormed, microchipped, have their health evaluation exam by licensed veterinarian and first round of puppy shots & gift bag with toys, blanket, some of their premium puppy food, info folder. They have registration with both AKC and CKC. If you are interested in purchasing a puppy with breeding rights (Full AKC rights) please reach out about that specifically before application. If you do NOT wish your pup to be microchipped, please request upon application approval. . Deposits are non-refundable, in some extreme cases we may, we evaluate case-by-case basis.”
Elizabeth may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Dachshund
About Uma
Uma is a sweet and affectionate girl. She’s a smooth haired dachshund with chocolate and tan base colors and dapple and piebald patterns. She has heterochromia, as many dapples, so one of her eyes is brown one is blue, which is super cute. She loves snuggling on the couch, loves her belly rubs and adores finding comfortable spots like pillows and beds. She is a bit on the shy side when meeting new people, but very affectionate once she’s getting to know you. She occasionally will pick a toy that she will be more attached to, and carry around and squeak it every now and then. She loves swimming and playing with humans as well as other dogs. She is a healthy girl, no allergies or illnesses.

About Duchess Daphne
Daphne is a breathtakingly beautiful AKC and CKC registered blondie with pink nose, hazel eyes and a great personality. She is always curious, kind and playful but loves to snuggle with the family. She is a talker, as a dachshund is, and has never growled. She has a beautiful hair that's easy to maintain with a weekly brushing and she loves to swim in the lake or river and she is a true adventurer! She is very healthy and never had any health issues or allergies, she is free fed, with much success.

About Mycroft Holmes
Mycroft is infinitely sweet, kind and docile nature. He is a calm and cuddly dachshund who only barks when he alerts (postman, knocking etc). He is very sporty, will play fetch all day -and out vet said he is the most muscular dachshund she's ever seen. Thus the nickname 'Muscleboi' He is in excellent health and has fur smooth like velvet. He never had an overeating issue, he has been free-fed his entire life. He traveled the world with me, across Europe and America and more to come.

Elizabeth is a true professional!! After being nearly scammed in our quest for a new Dachshund, we were so thrilled to find Duchess Daphne's Doxie Empire. The adoption process was smooth, informative and easy. Elizabeth truly is passionate about the puppies and is a great communicator, both before and after the adoption! Our new puppy, "Link" had a jumpstart on potty training thanks to the diligence of Elizabeth. I highly recommend!!!

Elizabeth was responsive, warm, and professional. She explained the process clearly with intention. She never rushed and ensured we had all our questions answered. Our beautiful Ryder is absolute perfection. I know his sweet nature comes from being loved dearly since day one. I highly recommend Elizabeth if you are looking for a new furry addition and want a caring and smooth process. 10 out of 10!

I had the most incredible experience adopting my miniature dachshund, Artie (formally R.T. or Roasted Turkey), from Erzsebet. From start to finish, the process was thoughtful, transparent, and supportive. Artie was 10 weeks old and ready to go home, but Elisabeth still made sure I felt fully prepared before moving forward. I was able to FaceTime Artie prior to adoption so I could meet him, talk through his temperament, and ask every question I had. Erzsebet was so knowledgeable and honest about all things puppy and dachshund care. On adoption day, she went above and beyond. Artie came with all of his vaccination records, health and genetic information, dachshund-specific guidance, plus his favorite toys, blankies, food, and treats. It was obvious how deeply loved and well-cared for he was. Since bringing him home, Artie has adjusted beautifully. He’s sweet, playful, loves being the center of attention (classic doxie!), and has done amazing with both potty training and crate training. I couldn’t recommend Erzsebet more. She truly cares about her pups and their future families, and I’m so grateful she trusted me with Artie. She has continued to check in on Artie and has been so quick to answer any questions and give advice.

Elizabeth was great and very helpful. She made the process easy to understand and pain free. She would take questions from us any time of day, and she would send us updated photos of our puppy any time we asked for it. You can tell that she really has a heart for the puppys and she does a great job making sure the puppies are going to good homes. We definitely recommend her.

Working with Elizabeth was fantastic! She is so knowledgeable and responsive - answering all of my questions with patience and care. And she gave lots of updates and pics along the way so I could see the puppies as they grew. It’s clear that she loves her puppies and wants each family to be set up for success. I am so glad I worked with her to take home my sweet puppy, Georgie. The pickup process was smooth and Elizabeth sent us home with a helpful care package. Georgie is now settling in and could not be sweeter. He had his first vet appt today and all is looking good! I would highly recommend working with Elizabeth if you’re looking for a puppy! I will certainly work with her again if I ever get a second dog!

We recently brought home our mini dachshund, Delilah, from Erzsebet, and the entire experience was truly exceptional from start to finish. Erzsebet was incredibly communicative throughout the whole process — always quick to answer questions, provide updates, and guide us through what to expect as new puppy parents. When it came time to bring Delilah home, she went above and beyond. She offered so much helpful information, made sure we felt fully prepared, and was unbelievably understanding about our very fragile family situation that made travel difficult. Her compassion and flexibility meant the world to us. Delilah arrived healthy, happy, and clearly loved. It’s obvious how deeply Erzsebet cares for her puppies and the families they go to. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone looking for a responsible, kind, and thoughtful breeder. We’re so grateful — and Delilah is the sweetest little blessing!
