I'm Erzsebet N., the breeder behind Duchess Daphne's Doxie Empire located in Austin, TX. We thrive to breed the highest quality, healthy dogs with great temperaments to be a true member of your family life. The sire, Mycroft is 6 years old, has amazing health, with extremely soft shiny coat and highly toned muscles and a super sweet, docile, yet alert nature. The dam, Duchess Daphne as her name tells is a rare beauty, with green eyes, pink nose and a true dachshund's nature.

Getting a puppy from Erzsebet

Erzsebet has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $700 deposit and between $2,050 - $2,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppies will have early life socialization, basic potty training, 4x dewormed, microchipped, have their health evaluation exam by licensed veterinarian and first round of puppy shots & gift bag with toys, blanket, some of their premium puppy food, info folder. They have registration with both AKC and CKC. If you are interested in purchasing a puppy with breeding rights (Full AKC rights) please reach out about that specifically before application. If you do NOT wish your pup to be microchipped, please request upon application approval. . Deposits are non-refundable, in some extreme cases we may evaluate case-by-case basis.”

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    It was an amazing experience working with Erzsebet! She is a wonderful communicator, sent photos/videos, and let me FaceTime with our precious puppy a couple of weeks prior to picking him up. Bentley (Silver Halo) had his wellness visit with the veterinarian today and received a perfect report. Bentley’s parents, Daphne and Mycroft, created a gorgeous baby boy! His sweet eyes are beautiful blue, and his velvety coat feels super soft. My husband and I are in love with our adorable new family member!     If you're looking for a miniature dachshund, look no further. This is where to get one. Erzsebet is so great to work with. She has beautiful dogs. Our Penny is such a delight. She is beautiful, silky coat, beautiful markings, healthy and wonderful temperament. Shes blended easily into our family, even loved my kids right off the bat! Highly recommend this breeder!!

    Erzsebet is a new breeder, and didn't have the track record of many other breeders on Gooddog, so I was very cautious of entering an agreement with her. To her extreme credit, she was very open to finding work-arounds to help me feel comfortable with purchasing a puppy from her. She gave me the number for her vet and I had a nice, long conversation with her, that solidified my decision to go ahead with the transaction. She conducted a video call with me, when she took my puppy to the vet to have her final vaccinations before travel and I got to talk with the vet while she examined Gracie. I flew down to Texas and met Erzsebet at the airport and we sat at a little coffee shop on the public side of security and went over the contract, other paperwork and I got to hold my beautiful new puppy. We said our goodbyes and I was on my way back home with little Gracie. I got my pup checked out by my own vet and she passed with flying colors. If I ever need another puppy, I'll be first checking to see if Erzsebet has a litter, because I'd definitely do business with her again, and without reservation. With regard to Gooddog. . . Just be advised that you pay an additional $95 with EACH payment that you make. Between the down payment and the final payment, I paid an additional $190 for my dog. Is it worth it? Yes, in my humble opinion, because there are a LOT of scammers out there and Gooddog really helps to avoid that nonsense. I just wish Gooddog would acknowledge this extra fee up front. But now YOU know. ;)
