I'm Liz T., the breeder behind Dumbledore's AKC Mini Dachshunds located in Henry, VA. Our dogs are bred for temperament, color, genetic clearances, and health above all else. We adore each and every one of our dogs and pups and do everything that we can to ensure they are all happy, healthy, and loved!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I've always been obsessed with Miniature Dachshunds and how cute they are. They are very driven and smart, plus they are compact and oh so sweet and cuddly.

  • What makes your program special?

    I chose to breed Long Haired Mini Dachshunds because they are hard to find and if you find some chances are they are not from a reliable breeder. I want to help fill the gap and be able to raise and breed wonderful puppies that are affordable and healthy!!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, piebald, red, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Liz

Liz has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,700 - $3,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“This price includes, AKC limited registration (NO breeding rights), deworming starting at 2 weeks old, vaccinations, and a to go home bag to help the puppy get off on the right foot. All deposits are non-refundable for any reason! Deposits can be sent at any time after puppies are born. I keep a waiting list, and I keep it updated every month.”

Contract & health guarantee

Liz may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
