I'm Deb H., the breeder behind Dunn’s Marsh Labradors located in Madison, WI. Occasionally breed (every 1-3 years). My goal is to produce sound, healthy Labs who look like Labradors and have their instincts. I work hard to breed healthy, happy puppies, and I take great pride in my breeding program.
Q. & A. with Deb
Why did you start breeding?
I was interested in breeding and had a neighbor who showed and bred an Irish Setters. He was also a conformation judge. He helped me get started. I wasn’t thrilled with the appearance of my first Labs so I found a mentor to help me improve on what I was breeding.
What makes your program special?
My dogs are excellent representatives of the breed. They love to work but are easy to live within the house. Some of the offspring of my dogs are service dogs, therapy dogs and I bred Wisconsin’s first Conservation Dog, Tilia, who works for Mequon Nature Center.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
