Meet the breeder

I'm Christina D., the breeder behind Duran's Scotties located in Peoria, AZ. Christina is from Arizona and is a private in home breeder of Scottish Terriers. Our scotties are much more than pets, they are family. Which is why we don't breed for a living and only produce a litter every 1-2 years. We give lots of love and attention to our pups so that they are well socialized.

Getting a puppy from Christina

Christina has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Christina partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Our goal is to ensure that every puppy is placed in a safe, loving, and responsible home. All potential buyers go through a brief screening process so we can learn about their home environment, lifestyle and experience with dogs ro ensure they are the right fit for the breed. The health and well-being of our puppies is our top priority, and each puppy will receive a veterinary health evaluation and their first set of vaccinations before leaving for their new home. Puppies will not be released until they are at least 8 weeks old, which allows proper development and socialization with their mother and littermates. ”

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Patellar Luxation

Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel, von Willebrand Disease III (vWD III)

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
