I'm the breeder behind Durham's Designer Poos located in Mabelvale, AR. We raise our puppies with total care and attention so they can become well-socialized and loving additions to their forever homes. Quality, health-tested, and socialized dogs are the principal components of our success as reputable breeders. We’re proud of the seamless transition our puppies are able to make as fun, lovable family members.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My pastor offered me a job helping in his breeding business and the rest is history! 15 years later it is still a passion and my family is enjoying this crazy ride right along with me.

  • What makes your program special?

    With so much experience under my belt, you can be confident your puppy has received the best care and attention needed to ensure they are of top notch health and temperament. With it being a family run business, your puppy will be well socialized and loved daily.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Poodle puppies are toy size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Poodle puppies include apricot, black, red, and parti. Maltipoo puppies include apricot, cream, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Teri

Teri has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $1,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price includes deposit, CKC registration, 1 year puppy guarantee, a complete de-worming schedule, 2 sets of puppy vaccines and 1 bordetella. All puppies will be health checked by our veterinarian before leaving our home. Puppy will come with a stuffed toy or blanket with the litter mate's scent on it, CKC papers, and other valuable information. We are always available to answer questions about your new baby. Once you have one of our puppies, you're a part of the family! We do allow you to move your deposit if for some reason you are unable to take the puppy you originally placed on deposit.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    I purchased my dog Bentley Kai from Teri. She was so helpful & knowledgeable about his breed. She answered all my questions, regularly sent me photos & videos of Bentley.     I am so happy that I found Teri! I have had Panda, my Durham maltipoo, for 10 months now, and I rave about Teri to anyone who asks where I got my pup. From picking Panda out when she was a few weeks old to picking her up at 2 months, Teri kept me informed of all Panda’s milestones. She sent photos when Panda’s eyes opened and videos when she started walking around. Panda was up to date on her puppy shots and was the picture of health. And oh so cute! I picked her up in person and immediately fell in love. Panda was playful, loving, and goofy from the start—traits she still has today. She loves people and her tail hardly stops wagging. Panda was definitely meant to be our dog; she adjusted to being with us in a blink and behaved as if she had been with us all along.     Words cannot express the experience that I’ve had with Teri Romeo was definitely heaven sent to me he is PERFECT in every way.
