Meet the breeder

I'm Ashley D., the breeder behind Dusty Spring Australian Shepherds, LLC located in East Berlin, PA. Our dogs are health tested and health certified to produce quality puppies. They live in our home and are a part of our family. Puppies are also raised in our home so they have constant social interaction and they become accustomed to daily activities.

Q. & A. with Ashley

  • Why did you start breeding?

I spent a good part of the 5 years researching every aspect of the breed, it's character traits, genetics, and confirmation.
  • What makes your program special?

My small breeding operation started in 2016. My dogs are raised in our home and the pups are socialized from the day they are born. I take great care to ensure the health (genetic and physical) are up to standards for both our adult dogs and the puppies. Not to mention they are a bit spoiled! We typically raise 3-4 litters each year.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include tiny and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include black tri, blue merle, red merle, and red tri. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Ashley

Ashley has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include a $550 non-refundable deposit and between $950 - $2,450 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“Puppy prices are dependent on pedigree, gender, color and full registration (breeding/show contract), details will be given. Full registration is given on a discretionary basis and will be determined when a puppy is no younger than 4 weeks old. This will be a private agreement made between the buyer and seller, so please inquire about further details. Tails are docked, unless buyer requests a full tail by the time the puppy is 3 days old. Payment for that puppy must be made in FULL prior to the puppies age of 3 days. Deposit is a non-refundable reservation and/or holding fee in good faith that the buyer is fully committed to buying a puppy from our program. It is also transferrable to any litter and comes off the final cost of the puppy.”

Contract & health guarantee

Ashley may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Ashley offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don’t hesitate to reach out to Ashley directly.

Ashley was such a wonderful person to work with in selecting a puppy for our home. She was patient with my questions and concerns and offered recommendations as needed. Once we selected our Pippa she was happy to provide video and picture updates weekly so we could watch her grow. We were so impressed we ended up going home with another puppy from a different litter. I would definitely work with Ashley and Dusty Springs again in the future.
