I'm George K., the breeder behind East Commons located in Fairfield, CT. We have been raising, btreeding and showing standard smooth dachshunds since 1985, and have produced a number of champions and a grand champions. In competition, both temperament and conformation are critical. None of dogs in our line have developed any of the disease that sometimes occur in the breed.

Why did you start breeding?
When we acquired our first dachshund, in 1985, the couple from whom we got Sheba got us interested in dog show competition, and that led to our decision to breed dachshunds for show competition.What makes your program special?
We breed only to continue our line and have dachshunds of outstanding temperament and conformation.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
