I'm MaryJo M., the breeder behind Eastern Juniper Dachshunds located in Middleboro, MA. Our beautiful Dachshunds are the result of extensive research and thorough care for our dogs and puppies. We are strong advocates of proper breeding practices and run our program accordingly. We also own an Emergency Veterinary Practice. This is so beneficial to our program! We breed with a focus on conformation, stature, physicality, coat, and temperament. We have much experience in preparing puppies for their forever homes. We spend a vast amount of time socializing and training our pups so they will have a great foundation of good behavior and neurological development. We also start training utilizing agility equipment starting at 5 weeks old. Many of our past pups have gone on to compete locally in Massachusetts. Dachshunds are truly working dogs and LOVE having a purpose and we cannot forget naps! We all know they love sunshine napping. We look forward to introducing you to the puppy of your dreams!

Why did you start breeding?
We saw our first ever shaded English cream in our clinic many years ago and the obsession began.What makes your program special?
All of our parents are AKC registered, genetically tested and OFA certified in patellas and heart. All of our dams and sires live in our home or guardian homes. We are equipped to handle many types of emergency situations. What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Momiji is the most beautiful long haired red I’ve ever owned. She is a very stoic girl, but there’s a lot happening inside her little head. She loves her people very hard. She is a hunter at heart from the smallest little bug to anything her size. She will find it. She loves to sun herself when she isn’t hunting wabbits. She is not a passive gal nor is she overly assertive. Just the perfect blend of perfection.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
