I'm Alisha B., the breeder behind Effervescent Border Collies located in Dallas, TX. We are a small kennel with large expectations! The dogs in our breeding program are part of our family. They are structurally sound, healthy, intuitive, and have wonderful temperaments. We enjoy performing in sports and conformation with our dogs. Our goal is to match our puppies with the perfect, loving forever homes! We do require a deposit to hold your place in line for a puppy. Deposits are non-refundable, but are transferable to subsequent litters if for some reason the original litter doesn’t have what works for you and your family.

Why did you start breeding?
Ethical breeders play an important role in the dog ecosystem. We are guardians for the future Border Collies. I am devoted to ensuring there are happy and healthy dogs for others to enjoy, and do so by responsibly growing this incredible breed. My goal is to breed quality puppies and preserve the line of these incredible companions.What makes your program special?
I strive to breed healthy, quality puppies that can fit any lifestyle. My puppies are well-tempered, socialized dogs who can excel in work, show, and as beloved companions. Our focus on temperament, health, and performance ability are what sets our program apart. Our puppies include blue merle, red merle, black, blue, brindle, gold, lilac, red, sable, and seal. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

+8When we were looking for a new puppy, I researched many breeders of Border Collies. Alisha met all of our criteria so I reached out to her. She offered a FaceTime call so I could see the puppies before choosing one. Alisha was overly responsive and we felt she always answered our questions honestly. We were very appreciative of the goodie bag she sent home with us on the day of adoption that had food, toys, etc in it. Our Baby Baxter is thriving in his new home and is adjusting to his cat siblings. He loves car rides, playing tug a war, doing zoomies around our pool, and going for walks. Thank you Alisha for filling a void after losing our other border in October.

Had a very good experience. She answered all my questions and responded within a reasonable time. She let me meet my Puppy's parents when I got to pick him up from her farm. Very positive experience will most likely purchase another border collie puppy from her later on.
