I'm Cynthia S., the breeder behind Elaraia Shetland Sheepdogs located in Martinsburg, WV. Our dogs are extremely family oriented, personable, intelligent, friendly, loving and athletic. Constant socialization and stimulation with other dogs, animals and people. Interactions with stairs and doggy doors. All breeding animals tested with breed specific genetic disease panels.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My mother started breeding undersized Shelties in 1985. We prefer the smaller, more refined type that the undersized Sheltie lines the US provide. A more UK type.

  • What makes your program special?

    Foundation undersized lines that most breeding programs bloodlines comes from. To date (as far as I have found) the only source of UK/EU lines in the United States bred specifically to keep the lines without US standard sized breeding and type. Also, crossing with undersized US lines to establish a program of elegant UK/US undersized type and refinement.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Shetland Sheepdog puppies include white and sable, blue merle white and tan, sable and white, black and white, and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Cynthia

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“AKC, pet home only. Vet check, vaccinated with Neo-par and a minimum first puppy vaccination, worming and parasite prevention. Microchips are offered. 100% refundable premium waiting list deposit of $250 which is credited towards the $500 non-refundable deposit, to hold your puppy, once you have chosen it.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
