I'm Kyle and Stephanie M., the breeder behind Elegant Dachshunds-Eledox located in Washington, NC. At Eledox, we raise dachshunds in our home, where they are treasured members of our family. Our dogs sleep in our beds, not kennels, and are lovingly socialized every day. We take pride in matching our puppies with caring homes and consider every puppy buyer a valued part of our extended family.

Why did you start breeding?
We simply love this breed! I began to study Dachshund conformation and temperament according to AKC standards about 15 years ago. We began to search for a foundation pair of Dachshunds, and the rest is history!What makes your program special?
Our Dachshunds don’t live in kennels or cages. They live in our house on our couches, in our beds, on our porch, and wherever they feel happy. We believe that the Dachshund temperament is unique and should be preserved, so we always take this into account when pairing dogs. Furthermore, we breed for conformation, not color or pattern. Dachshunds are hunters and we want to preserve that.What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

+5I want to say I never owned any animals and never thought I would but I got Tiger ( the lighter one). I fell in love with him he is the most sweetest dog you will ever meet. Kyle and Stephanie are just so wonderful and took their time in their busy lives to write back and FaceTime us with the puppies. They did everything to help and make it an easy process. So that being said I got another puppy (the darker one) and named her Dixie ( different parents) she is a sweet girl full of energy and love. If they didn’t retire Tigers parents I will take another :) very good breeders :)

Kyle and Stephanie were wonderful to work with when making sure we picked a healthy, happy dachshund puppy! We were able to have a video call to see the puppies and they were kind enough to meet us halfway to pick our sweet girl up.
