Meet the breeder

I'm Tina T., the breeder behind Elite Doxies Florida located in Lakeland, FL. We focus on long coats but we still love some smooth babies from time to time. Our puppies are available only to five-star homes that can provide a lifetime of love, safety, and responsible care. We have veterinarian and client references available. We breed AKC and CKC but we place our pups pet only, not for breeding.

Q. & A. with Tina

  • Why did you start breeding?

Ever since a little girl, my parents could not keep me away from animals. They did have a litter of boxer puppies, so I blame them for imprinting that on me from an early age! . At 7 years old I got my very first puppy, by age 17 I went to a dog show and that was it, I was hooked. In my 20’s and 30’s I showed AKC conformation for many years with other breeds, even competed in Nationals. I also traveled to Germany one time to see the world dog show and to New York to experience Westminster. Anything related to dogs that I have experienced kept solidifying my love for them. At age 43 now and not having kids, the dogs are my children.
  • What makes your program special?

I have devoted my life to dogs for over 25 years. It’s a way of life that not everyone can commit to but, having my dogs as my only true kids I do believe I live and love them at another level. I like to form relationships with my clients so it’s not just a transaction, if they want to stay in touch I will welcome that. We still have clients texting with dogs that are 10 years and older.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our Dachshund puppies include wirehaired, smooth, and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Dachshund puppies include piebald, cream, chocolate, blue and tan, black and tan, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

My experience has been absolutely wonderful from then beginning. Tina is the first breeder I’ve worked with. She is very knowledgeable and very clearly cares about every single puppy. I discovered Harvey, formerly known as Rowan, and absolutely fell in love with him. I knew he was the one for me the second I saw him. He came home healthy and happy as can be. I am so thankful for Tina and love my sweet Harvey lots.

Tina was absolutely wonderful to work with throughout the entire process of bringing Penny home. From my first inquiry to pickup day, she was kind, communicative, and always willing to answer my questions. It was clear how much she cares about her dogs and making sure they go to loving homes. The process was smooth, transparent, and stress-free, which made such an exciting time even more enjoyable. Tina provided great information and support, and I felt confident every step of the way. Penny has been the sweetest addition to my life. She is happy, healthy, full of personality, and has settled in so well. I couldn’t be more grateful to Tina for helping me find such a special companion. I highly recommend working with her to anyone looking for a wonderful puppy and a breeder who truly cares. ❤️🐾

Tina has been absolutely so amazing and helpful! When I discovered Hersey which is now (Milo), I knew he was meant for me and Tina provided the most helpful experience. Tina is caring, helpful, and very passionate about what she does. I would not have such an amazing pup if it weren’t for Tina!!

This was our first time getting a puppy from a breeder and Tina was absolutely amazing! We could not have asked for a better experience! She was responsive and gave the best weekly updates so that we could see our little girl growing from week one to the day we got her! It is clear that Tina truly loves her dogs and gives them the absolute best care until they are ready to go to their forever homes :)

My daughter and I adopted our sweet girl Gracie Lu (formerly known as Rosabelle) from Tina. Tina is very knowledgeable about the dachshund breed and very much cares about her pups. That was something that really reassured us that Elite Doxies Florida is truly professional and demonstrates integrity. When we met to adopt Gracie, Tina provided us with a lot of information that came in a very organized and detailed folder. Since then, we have continued to keep in touch with Tina providing fun updates on Gracie Lu💕🐾 I highly recommend Tina at Elite Doxies Florida!
