Meet the breeder

I'm Tina T., the breeder behind Elite Doxies Florida located in Lakeland, FL. We focus on long coats but we still love some smooth babies from time to time. Our puppies are available only to five-star homes that can provide a lifetime of love, safety, and responsible care. We have veterinarian and client references available. We breed AKC and CKC but we place our pups pet only, not for breeding.

Q. & A. with Tina

  • Why did you start breeding?

Ever since a little girl, my parents could not keep me away from animals. They did have a litter of boxer puppies, so I blame them for imprinting that on me from an early age! . At 7 years old I got my very first puppy, by age 17 I went to a dog show and that was it, I was hooked. In my 20’s and 30’s I showed AKC conformation for many years with other breeds, even competed in Nationals. I also traveled to Germany one time to see the world dog show and to New York to experience Westminster. Anything related to dogs that I have experienced kept solidifying my love for them. At age 43 now and not having kids, the dogs are my children.
  • What makes your program special?

I have devoted my life to dogs for over 25 years. It’s a way of life that not everyone can commit to but, having my dogs as my only true kids I do believe I live and love them at another level. I like to form relationships with my clients so it’s not just a transaction, if they want to stay in touch I will welcome that. We still have clients texting with dogs that are 10 years and older.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include piebald, cream, chocolate, blue and tan, black and tan, chocolate and tan, chocolate and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

    Verified owner · Nov. 2025

I was looking for a specific type, dachshund specifically, the mini long-haired piebald, and found Tina from Elite Doxie’s on the Internet. Tina was great at communicating and sharing information with me about Ruby. The delivery process was extremely smooth and they provided me with all the information I could possibly need and everything to get started with my new pup. I could not be happier with my experience and my brand new puppy.
