I'm Robert B., the breeder behind Elmo’s Toy and Miniature Australian Shepherds located in Gore, OK. 50 years of knowledge has gone into our Aussie program. They are the go-to dog that fit into working, playing, and family lives. We have sound dogs in mind, body, and soul. We value a hardworking, honest dog that will learn what is expected of them. Whether you are looking for a companion, agility, working, or therapy dog, our puppies will fit. We know the history behind our breeding dogs well enough to say that.
Q. & A. with Robert
Why did you start breeding?
Ivy was the beginning of Elmo’s Aussies! Our program was established in 2006. We breed selectively and with purpose. If you see a litter offered from our dogs, believe that many hours of thought and hard work have gone into deciding on this cross. We are dedicated to continuing our phenomenal bloodlines in an effort to provide our Aussie families with loving, healthy, and happy puppies.
What makes your program special?
We are honest, hardworking, and put our heart into our program. We are very familiar with the pedigree, structure, and genetics of every Aussie pair prior to breeding. We guarantee our dogs for life. If for any reason you can no longer keep your commitment, we will be here to transition your dog into a new forever life. Our lifetime guarantee is to the puppies we produce; it is not an agreement to purchase back a commodity. Our dogs will bond to you and for them, it will be a lifetime commitment.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include black & white, red & white, blue merle, black tri, red tri, red merle, red, and black. Australian Shepherd puppies include red & white, black & white, black, red merle, blue merle, red, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

From start to finish Robert and Janice at Elmo's were extremely professional. I reached out to them before Clyde's litter was even born. I had first pick of his litter and that was the first time I had ever been first pick in a situation like this and it was rewarding. Not just myself but my whole family is impressed with Clyde. He plays with my nieces and nephews gently (oldest niece being 5). He is very active and loves being social. Receiving a puppy from Elmo's who is already this happy and outgoing is incredible. Thank you Robert, Janice, Misty and Tango for such a wonderful puppy. Misty I hope you find the best retirement home possible.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
