Meet the breeder

I'm Catherine Y., the breeder behind OPA! Havanese (formerly Elysium Fields) located in Morriston, FL. The goal i set and which I believe is still the most important, is to produce healthy puppies that are well socialized and meet the breed standards which will make a well-rounded adult dog. Our Havanese are from exceptional CH & GCH lines. OFA tested-Hips, patella, elbows, eyes, heart.

Q. & A. with Catherine

  • Why did you start breeding?

I bought my first puppy from an exceptional breeder to show and eventually breed, a male from an imported line and fell in love. I then got a lovely female from the same breeder and successfully showed her and had my first litter in 2018. I love the breed and feel blessed to breed beautiful litters and spread the joy.
  • What makes your program special?

I raise my pups in our home, and give them plenty of love, and the opportunity to socialize. They are exposed to many animals, people, sounds. My goal is to send a puppy into its new home prepared for success, we're a team, and you have my support from the moment you pick up your pup throughout its lifetime.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white, cream, gold, red, black, silver sable, black and silver, red sable, and gold sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
