I'm Gary E., the breeder behind Elzy Family located in La Junta, CO. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. We have developed several protocols to ensure the health and well-being of all of our dogs. It’s our top priority to make sure each of our puppy families welcomes a happy and healthy new family member into their homes!

Why did you start breeding?
My parents bred Beagles in the 1960's & 1970's. They were bred for hunting, field trials, & as family pets.What makes your program special?

Gary has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and between $400 - $600 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“First round of shots & deworming. Deposit will hold the desired puppy for up to 2 weeks... guaranteeing the avaibilty.”
Contract & health guarantee
Gary may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
