I'm Megan E., the breeder behind Englehaus Dachshunds located in Indianapolis, IN. Englehaus Dachshunds is a small home-based breeding program in the greater Indianapolis area raising healthy, loving miniature dachshunds. Because we keep our program small and intentional, each puppy receives individual attention, daily interaction, and early socialization in our family home.

What makes your program special?
Our dogs are part of our family, and our puppies are raised in our home where they experience the normal rhythms and activity of daily life. Each of our puppies receives gentle handling, early socialization, and plenty of individual attention to help them grow into confident, affectionate companions. Because we keep our program small, we are able to focus on the well-being of every dog we raise.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Megan

Megan has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Megan partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“At Englehaus Dachshunds, our goal is to place each puppy in the home where they will thrive. As the puppies grow, we observe their personalities, temperaments, and energy levels. When it is time for placement, we work with families to help determine the best match. We reserve the right to make final placement decisions and may offer recommendations to ensure the best fit for both the puppy and their future family. 🐾”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $700 - $1,600 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price varies based on puppy Full price includes AKC registration, health guarantee, first vaccinations and deworming, early socialization, and lifetime breeder support. Our deposit is non-refundable, but can be transferred upon request. We do not accept deposits prior to puppy application and contract being completed.”

Vet Wellness Exam

DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
