I'm Ashley M., the breeder behind EntityDachs located in Tampa, FL. Dachshunds have completely stolen my heart. I’ve been a dedicated breeder for the past five years, and what started as a love for the breed quickly grew into a full-blown passion for improving it through responsible, thoughtful breeding practices. My program is focused on health, temperament, and structure. Each litter is carefully planned with long-term goals in mind, and I prioritize quality over quantity. My dogs are raised in my home — not in kennels — and are a part of the family from day one. They’re well-socialized with people, sounds, routines, and other pets, giving them a strong foundation before they head off to their forever homes. I also began showing my dachshunds in the conformation ring through professinal handlers. It’s been an exciting way to further educate myself and evaluate my breeding dogs against the breed standard. It’s not just about ribbons — it’s about producing dachshunds that are as correct and sound as they are sweet and cuddly.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My journey into dachshund breeding started about five years ago.. not in the show ring, but with a dachshund that completely stole my heart. I got my first dachshund from a breeder I later realized wasn’t operating ethically. While my dog was amazing and brought so much joy into my life, I quickly learned the importance of health testing, responsible breeding, and doing right by the breed. I learned alot over the years and have transformed my program into something I am proud of and cant wait to grow and floruish and make my mentors proud. That experience sparked something in me. I knew I wanted to do better, not just for my own dogs, but for other families looking for healthy, well-bred dachshunds. Since then, I’ve committed myself to learning everything I can about the breed, and a couple of years ago, I began showing my dachshunds to continue improving their structure, temperament, and overall quality.

    We do not breed for color, we breed for quality.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red, chocolate, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

    ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Wonderful Experience with Our Dachshund Breeder, Ashley! I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Ashley! My husband and I recently brought home two short-haired miniature dachshunds, and from start to finish, Ashley made the entire process incredibly smooth, fun, and stress-free. She was so easy to communicate with and always professional. One of the highlights for us was a long video call she set up, where we got to meet the puppies virtually and choose our new family members. She was patient, kind, and clearly cared deeply for each of the pups. Ashley took excellent care of them before they came home—completing all of their initial vet visits and providing us with all the relevant AKC documentation. She even sent them home with adorable personalized bandanas, a bag of the kibble they were used to, and several useful toys (plus other thoughtful touches I’m probably forgetting!). Our puppies arrived healthy, happy, and so well adjusted to their new home—it’s clear they were loved and socialized from the beginning. We are so grateful to Ashley for such a positive and personal experience. We would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking to add a dachshund to their family!

    My experience with Ashley at EntityDachs could not have been a better experience. My husband found this breeder after my miniature dachshund, Molly passed away. I found that my grief was so intense and raw that I was in a very dark place and was struggling to get back to normal life. He asked me if I would like to get puppy to help repair my broken heart. I immediately said yes but stressed my concern that I was afraid to be scammed or misled into purchasing an unhealthy puppy. My husband did his research which led him to Good Dog and EntityDachs. We arranged to speak with Ashley and found her to be a delight. Our first conversation was a FaceTime. I immediately found myself relaxed with her pleasant demeanor and loved that she personally checks out every person that would adopt one of her puppies. We decided to work together and I found my new baby, Ruby Rose. Ashley communicated every day and sent picture updates or as I lovingly called them, pup-dates. I found myself depending on that daily pup-date in anticipation of bringing my angel home. She also set us up with her Facebook group which helped solidify the adoption and helped me feel secure that everything would be okay. Her responsiveness helped pull me out of my sadness and look to the future with my new baby. I officially brought Ruby home yesterday. Our exchange could not have gone smoother and I’m grateful for that because I honestly don’t think my heart could’ve taken it otherwise. Ashley completed Ruby’s 8 week vet visit and made a plan to meet immediately after if all went well with vaccines. Fortunately, Ruby did great. We met at a Tractor Supply where Ashley handed me my puppy and set us up for success by sending us home with some basic necessities, Ruby’s paperwork, and some other items to make her transition go well. Our first night went perfect. You can see the love and attention that Ruby experienced while in Ashley’s care. She is clean, well cared for, and craves love. She is such a happy, loving dog. Ashley clearly gave this baby a loving start. Ashley also contacted us that evening to make sure all was going well. Throughout our interactions, Ashley has been professional, sweet, and caring. We are so grateful to have found Ashley at EntityDachs and furthermore, our new family member Ruby. We fully intend to make another purchase from this breeder in the future.
