I'm Ashley M., the breeder behind EntityDachs located in Tampa, FL. Dachshunds have completely stolen my heart. I’ve been a dedicated breeder for the past five years, and what started as a love for the breed quickly grew into a full-blown passion for improving it through responsible, thoughtful breeding practices. My program is focused on health, temperament, and structure. Each litter is carefully planned with long-term goals in mind, and I prioritize quality over quantity. My dogs are raised in my home — not in kennels — and are a part of the family from day one. They’re well-socialized with people, sounds, routines, and other pets, giving them a strong foundation before they head off to their forever homes. I also began showing my dachshunds in the conformation ring through professinal handlers. It’s been an exciting way to further educate myself and evaluate my breeding dogs against the breed standard. It’s not just about ribbons — it’s about producing dachshunds that are as correct and sound as they are sweet and cuddly.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My journey into dachshund breeding started about five years ago.. not in the show ring, but with a dachshund that completely stole my heart. I got my first dachshund from a breeder I later realized wasn’t operating ethically. While my dog was amazing and brought so much joy into my life, I quickly learned the importance of health testing, responsible breeding, and doing right by the breed. I learned alot over the years and have transformed my program into something I am proud of and cant wait to grow and floruish and make my mentors proud. That experience sparked something in me. I knew I wanted to do better, not just for my own dogs, but for other families looking for healthy, well-bred dachshunds. Since then, I’ve committed myself to learning everything I can about the breed, and a couple of years ago, I began showing my dachshunds to continue improving their structure, temperament, and overall quality.

    We do not breed for color, we breed for quality.

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red, chocolate, chocolate and tan, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Animal Genetics Panel, DNA Profile

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Ashley has been the best breeder we could have asked for! She is constantly providing pictures and updates and any information that you’d want as a puppy buyer!     Ashley was the most incredible breeder to work with. I truly cannot sing her praises enough. I knew I wanted a Dachshund, but was wary of IVDD and other health risks. Ashley's puppies caught my eye for their stellar genetic testing and bills of health, as well as for her stunning show-dog parents. She was there for us every step of the way, was incredibly accommodating to our situation, and never for a second left us in the dark. She was so communicative and made sure to send us loads of pictures of our puppy while we were waiting to come pick him up. She was transparent about his personality and temperament, and aside from regular puppy behaviors, he is one of the most well-behaved dogs I've ever met, even for his age. Four and a half hours in the car on the way home, and he slept almost the entire way, waking up occasionally for playtime and kisses. Ashley is patient, trustworthy, and above all else, just immensely kind and considerate. You will be in the best hands with Ashley - I cannot recommend her enough.

    It's been a while since I have had a puppy and after a lot of research, I was interested in a miniature Dachshund. I found the Good Dog platform and liked that the breeders were vetted. EntityDachs came up in my search and I was impressed by the puppies confirmation, coloring, and the reviews from happy pup owners. Ashley was very responsive and not only helped educate me on the breed and if it would be a good choice, but she answered all of my questions and helped reassure me. She truly loves her puppies and starts training them from the beginning. She breeds responsibly and makes sure that the puppy is the right fit for the family, and if there are issues she will take the puppy back. I felt comforted in that policy. I received multiple updates with pictures and videos and when the puppy arrived he was every bit of adorable and sweet. He was already consistently going on the pee pad and settled into his routine quickly. We are enjoying our little Murphy and would highly recommend Ashley to anyone who is looking for a wonderful dog.
