I'm Cheryl C., the breeder behind Erinhill Labradors located in Assonet, MA. I am an AKC judge and have been breeding and showing Labrador Retrievers for 40+ years. I have gained a lot of valuable knowledge over the years that I continue to apply to my breeding program. It is important to me that I am always striving to improve for the betterment of my dogs.

Why did you start breeding?
I have loved dogs for as long as I can remember. My love for Labrador Retrievers inspired me to share this amazing breed with the world in a responsible way. I have learned so much over the years, I feel so privileged to be able to apply that knowledge to better the breed.
What makes your program special?
I am passionate about Labradors and am so excited to share my passion with the world. My heavy involvement in the show world speaks to the standards that I breed my dogs by. I will always stand behind my puppies.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Gidget
Gidget is a female Labrador Retriever. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Cheryl decided to make her part of their program. Cheryl has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Dentition
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Hereditary Nasal Parakeratosis (HNPK), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
