I'm Alexa A., the breeder behind Eye Spy located in Newburgh, NY. We are hobby breeders of carefully selected Collies. We offer top-quality Collies puppies for families who share the same love and passion that I do for these lovely companions. We breed my puppies with a focus on health, form, and function and I believe quality is more important than quantity.

Why did you start breeding?
I began breeding after a lot of hard work and preparation with guidance from Jeann. She has been mentoring me from the start. We have been breeding together since 2021. I joined her breeding program that has produced many international CH. We decided to work together because we shared the same beliefs on having collies that are beautiful and functional.
What makes your program special?
We understand the importance of adhering to the collie standard, temprament, and health. We treasure each puppy in my program and give them all the attention and care that we possibly can. We work very hard so our puppies can leave our home with confidence, ready to take on the world with their new family!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Alexa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Alexa partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We care very much about where our puppies end up. So we do our best to match the temperament of the puppy to what a family is looking for. We usually know between 10-12 weeks what puppy will be the best fit for the person. Since we know that this is a family member they will have for years.”

Program update on 04 June •
We love human interaction and toys. Our favorite hobby for the last week has been escaping the pen and explore the house. We have a play list that has a lot of scary noises and now we just sleep through it like professionals. We’re also on dry kibble with some chicken as an extra topping and we got our first vaccine on Sunday. Eye check and vet check are scheduled and we get the 2nd vaccine on the 16th.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
