Havana Silk Dogs are my passion, and I am devoted to doing whatever I can to preserve, protect, and improve this incredible breed. My breeding program strives to maintain the unique characteristics of this breed whilst placing an emphasis on producing puppies of superior health, genetic diversity, and temperament. I would be thrilled to introduce you to one of these magnificent companions!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Purposeful and ethical breeding is so important for the healthy progression of the Havana Silk Dog. My goal is to breed quality puppies and preserve the line of these incredible companions. It's an amazing feeling knowing that I made a positive contribution to these dogs and the families who love them!
  • What makes your program special?

    I am dedicated to preparing my puppies to thrive as their best selves, and I strive for quality and excellence with everything that I do. Holding myself to high standards is paramount to the well-being of my dogs and to the integrity of my program. Each dog is extensively health tested before producing a litter, and my priority is to maintain genetic diversity through healthy dogs with great personalities. My beautiful pups are sure to make loving companions for your family for many years to come!

  • Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary), Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Profile, DNA Repository

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
